"He had said nothing and done nothing to enrage the surly Arab, but suddenly young William Robinson found himself fleeing for his life from a swirling sword."

An adaptation by Robin May of the epic journey undertaken by William Robinson who sailed the world in 1931 having all sorts of adventures from eating with cannibals to being captured and held to ransom by pirates in the Red Sea.

A dynamic painting by Graham Coton illustrates this incredible journey. It originally appeared in Look and Learn issue 407 on 1st November 1969.
