This is the unique original Mixed Media art by Ron Embleton.

A jovial painting probably used to illustrate the book Best Children's Stories, by the Brothers Grimm, retold by Lornie Leete-Hodge (London, Dean, 1983).

This amusing story by the Grimm Brothers is about four farm animals who are convinced they can earn a good living as musicians.

Indeed they do, but it isn't really the sweetness of their barking, braying, mewing, and cockle-doodle-doing, that earns them their supper – it's more the terror of the sound they make!
